Claim: A video shows a giant bull towering over people at a cattle market in Karachi ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
Fact: The video is AI-generated.
On 18 May 2026, Facebook page ‘Absnews24’ posted a video showing a notably large, dark-coloured bull at a mandi — or livestock market — in Karachi, Pakistan, ahead of the Islamic festival of Eid-ul-Azha, wherein Muslims sacrifice animals such as cows, goats, and camels.
A man’s voice in the background can be heard saying, “MashAllah [as God willed it], this is such a huge bull, really, I swear it dwarfs the whole mandi. They’re saying it’s for over [PKR] 2 million. Even the people look small in comparison.” The video cuts to what appears to be an AI-generated figure of a news anchor urging people to follow the Facebook page.
The accompanying caption reads as follows:
“2026 کا دیوہیکل بیل! کراچی منڈی میں لوگوں کے ہوش اڑا دیئے
[The giant bull of 2026! It blew people’s minds in the Karachi Mandi]”
This year, Eid-ul-Azha is scheduled to be celebrated on 27 May.
Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check observed several tell-tale signs of content generated using AI tools.
The feet of an individual standing just behind the bull’s nose are unnaturally sideways. The man holding the animal’s reins has distorted hands, with the rope in his right hand positioned in an awkward way at the 0:06 mark.
A man on the left in white clothes merges into another one dressed in dark blue. Then another figure wearing darker clothes appears suddenly around the 0:08 mark.
A child also appears out of nowhere at the 0:09 mark.
Additionally, before zooming in on the bull, there’s no second rope on the left side but one appears right after the camera zooms out.

Tell-tale signs of AI-generated content
We also tested the video in two deepfake detection tools to check the probability of it being AI-generated.
According to Deepfake-O-Meter, in which we used six detectors, the probabilities of the video being AI-generated is 100%, 99.9%, 97.2%, 75.2%, 54.2%, and 48%, respectively.
Hive Moderation said the clip is “99.6%” likely to be an AI-generated video.

Moreover, we came across an X (formerly Twitter) post by Arab News journalist Naimat Khan Malazai, who wrote, “This bull does not exist in the real world. It is a product of artificial intelligence. According to the Karachi Cattle Market’s spokesperson, the bull seen in this viral video is AI-generated.”
Soch Fact Check then reached out to Zaki Abro — the spokesperson of Karachi Cattle Market, which Wikipedia calls “Asia’s largest” — who confirmed that the video is indeed “fake”.
Therefore, we conclude that the video is AI-generated.
Virality
Soch Fact Check found the video posted dozens of times on Facebook, garnering over 4,700 reactions and more than 287,400 views.
It was also shared multiple times on Instagram, with over 170 likes.
The clip was posted by almost half a dozen X users, accumulating upwards of 309,800 views, and by at least four YouTube channels, with over 70 likes.
Conclusion: The video is AI-generated.
