Claim: The United States Air Force has announced it will study and learn the tactics used by Pakistan’s Air Force against India during the 7 May 2025 air battle between the two countries.
Fact: The US Air Force never made any such announcement or comment.
On 22 August 2025, a user on X posted an image (archive) of two Pakistani Air Force jets. The post is captioned, “ ‘#BREAKING: US Air Force says it will study and learn tactics used by Pakistan Air Force against India on 07 May 2025.’”
Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check first conducted a keyword search but found no reports supporting the claim.
To further confirm the lack of an announcement, we then checked the United States Air Force’s website and specifically the news page. However, searches of this page also failed to show any results of such an announcement.
The only credible report found regarding the examination of the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) by foreign militaries was posted by Reuters, which cited experts as saying that, “the use of advanced weapons would be analyzed across the world, including in China and the United States which are both preparing for a potential conflict over Taiwan or in the wider Indo-Pacific region.”
The article specifically quoted senior fellow for military aerospace at the International Institute for Strategic Studies Douglas Barrie who commented saying,“’ Air warfare communities in China, the U.S. and a number of European countries will be extremely interested to try and get as much ground truth as they can on tactics, techniques, procedures, what kit was used, what worked and what didn’t”. However, Barrie’s statement and the article are speculative in nature; there remains no official confirmation from any military source that they did, in fact, examine the conflict.
Notably, the Reuters article mentions a multitude of armed forces around the globe that would wish to study PAF’s actions and a general desire to do so. It did not state that the United States Air Force (USAF) specifically had said or publicly announced that it will study the PAF’s tactics in the May 2025 air battle. As such, Soch Fact Check finds this claim to be false.

Conclusion: The US Air Force did not make any such announcement. A Reuters article published on 9 May 2025 merely cited experts within the arms industry who speculated that the US and China would be interested in studying the 7 May air battle between India and Pakistan.
