Fact or Fiction?

Imran Ahmed Siddiqui cannot be seen in the viral clip, so Soch Fact Check reverse-image searched a frame of the video and found several reports containing the same visuals. These reports describe a brawl that took place in the Armenian Parliament on 30 October 2026. Armenian and Uzbekistani media report that the altercation started because of a conflict between the ruling party and representatives, and the physical altercation extended to the parliamentary corridors as well.

Uzbek media outlet Zamin published another video showing a different angle of the same incident. Details are identical in both clips, however, the false social media posts connecting the video to Pakistan were shared two days after media reports of the incident in the Armenian parliament.

In fact, there were no credible reports of an attack on Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran. The Embassy of Pakistan in Iran’s  stated on X that no such attack had taken place, with the Ambassador calling such claims “baseless and factually incorrect.” We checked Imran Ahmed Siddiqui’s X profile for further details on this claim, but only found Siddiqui to have reshared the Embassy’s response on 2 November 2026.

Based on official reports and confirmation from the Embassy of Pakistan in Iran that no such attack took place on the Ambassador, Soch Fact Check concludes this claim to be misleading.

Virality
