Several Facebook posts from early March shared a video purportedly showing Iranian strikes on Israel during the recent war. One user included a caption that states: [Translated via Google Translate]: “Iran’s latest dangerous missile attack on Tel Aviv resulted in the destruction of a chemical plant”.

Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check reverse-searched keyframes from the video and found that it is at least six months old.
An X user posted the same clip on 15 November 2025, and the caption stated: “BREAKING: Massive explosion at thermal power plant in Ezeiza, Argentina. – local media”.

It also appeared on X here on 15 November 2025 with the description linking the clip to the explosion in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This video also appeared on Reddit on 15 November 2025 with the title, “Massive Explosion in Argentina after plane crashes into power plant”.
It also appeared on Reddit on the same day, with the caption linking the footage to the explosion in Buenos Aires.
The same clip was also posted on TikTok on 15 November 2025.
A Facebook account [translated from Arabic into English], “Al-Arab newspaper (Qatar)”, a Qatari newspaper, also posted a longer version of the same video on 16 November 2025. Keyframes till 0:16 in this clip match the video being fact-checked.
“A massive explosion rocked an agricultural chemical plant in the Ezeiza region of Argentina, injuring 24 people and releasing toxic fumes, causing a large fire and shattering windows in nearby buildings,” reads the description [translated from Arabic into English via Google Translate].
The incident mentioned in the caption of the above posts likely refers to a massive explosion that occurred at an industrial park, sparking a fire near Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, in November 2025. At least 20 people were injured, according to reports.
ABC Noticias, a Spanish-language platform, published the same visuals of the incident (from start to 0:18) in its article titled [translated from Spanish into English via Google], “Explosion at industrial park near Argentina airport leaves more than 15 injured”, on 14 November 2025.
Another Costa Rican news platform, CR Hoy, also posted the same clip in its report titled, “Video captures powerful explosion in industrial area of Argentina” on 14 November 2025.
Soch Fact Check, therefore, rates the claim as false as the clip appeared online as early as November 2025.
Virality
The video was posted at least 10 times on Facebook in the context of the recent US-Israel war with Iran.
Another Facebook user shared the clip on 17 May, linking it to a test explosion that apparently occurred near Beit Shemesh, Israel. Some Israeli publications reported that the blast was a pre-planned experiment by the Israeli defense company Tomer.
Soch Fact Check also found that this video appeared at least twice on Instagram in the context of the recent US-Israel war with Iran and was also recycled in May 2026.
On X, the same footage was rehashed and appeared at least five times in May 2026.
Conclusion: The video is not linked to the recent US-Israel conflict with Iran. It is old and appeared online as early as November 2025. Moreover, social media posts linked the footage to an explosion near the Argentinian capital at the time.
