Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check investigated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) official account on X to see if there had been an update on this matter.
As of 1 June 2026 we found that PTI had reposted an X post from Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yousaf Chaudry, who mentioned that he was not able to get signatures on the power of attorney for the Supreme Court appeal regarding the bail application in the Al-Qadir Trust case from former Prime Minister Imran Khan Sahib and his wife Bushra Khan. According to the lawyer’s X account as of 10 June 2026, the former Prime Minister might stay in jail as the jail administration had not obtained Khan’s or Bushra Bibi’s signatures on the power of attorney documents even until then.
Furthermore, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan took to X on 1 June 2026 to say that such posts about a meeting in Adiala Jail between Khan and a former army chief were false.
Soch Fact Check also verified the claim by reaching out to media outlets like Geo News, as the viral source originated from media outlets. A representative from Geo News gave the following statement:
“There is no credibility in these reports, we have heard no such thing. This page itself is dubious.”
Soch Fact Check also reached out to Aleema Khan who gave a comment on the matter stating :
“This is totally fake and a campaign launched by the agencies since they have no clue what to do.”
Considering the lack of credible news reports, and official statements from Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, Soch Fact Check debunks the claim as false.

The claim that Imran Khan will be released, resurfaces from time to time since his arrest in August 2023. Soch Fact Check has debunked such fake or misleading news over this period of time.
Conclusion: The claim is false. There is no news regarding former PM Imran Khan’s released from Adiala Jail in the upcoming weeks.
