Claim: An image shows PML-N politician Dr. Muhammad Najeeb Naqi Khan getting kicked out of a wedding in Pallandri, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Fact: The image is AI-generated.
On 17 June 2026, a verified Facebook page named PTI Overseas shared an image depicting a man trying to snatch a plate of food from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former health minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Dr. Muhammad Najeeb Naqi Khan at what appears to be a wedding event. The image implies that the former health minister was asked to leave the event while the caption of the post reads:
[Translation: “A wedding ceremony in Palandri Azad Kashmir took an unpleasant turn when former health minister of Azad Kashmir and senior PML-N leader Dr. Najeeb Naqi was thrown out of the venue after being told that his party, PML-N, was allegedly involved in the massacre of our children. #Don’tSuppressKashmir’sVoice.”]
This article only fact-checks the image, not the claim in the caption.
Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check first conducted a reverse-image search which led to similar posts making the claim being investigated.
We then noticed some visual inconsistencies like the tent decoration and ornaments hanging in the background, which lack dimensions and textures and, therefore, appear more animated than real. The lighting is also unnaturally uniform throughout the frame, lacking any shadows or depth, typical of AI-generated content.
Naqi’s and the other men’s facial expressions in the picture also appear to be unnatural. The food on the plates, like the rice and curry, are blurry and lack real-world definition, which suggests that the picture is AI-generated.

Soch Fact Check observed unnatural expressions and some of the food on the plate is blurry
Soch Fact Check then ran the image through Hive Moderation AI-Generated Content Detection tool. It gave the image a rating of 99.9%, concluding that it is AI-generated.

We also ran the image through Sightengine, an AI-powered content analysis platform which uses machine learning to identify deepfakes and AI-generated media. This tool also gave the image a rating of 99%, concluding that it is likely AI-generated.

To further confirm these results, Soch Fact Check finally ran the picture through Google’s SynthID Detector to detect the watermark embedded in content generated through its AI model. It confirmed that the image was made with Google AI, and expressed “very high confidence” in its result.

Considering the results from three AI detection tools, and our independent analysis, Soch Fact Check confirms that the image of Naqi shared in the claim is AI-generated.
