Claim: US President Donald Trump will visit Pakistan on 18 September 2025.

Fact: The claim is false. President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit the UK from 17 to 19 September 2025, and there is no official confirmation of a visit to Pakistan.

On 17 July, multiple Pakistani news outlets including Geo News, Samaa, Suno News, and BOL News reported that US president Donald Trump will visit Pakistan on 18 September.

The claim was subsequently circulated on social media platforms.

Several news outlets have since either removed their reports and social media posts or altered them.

Fact or Fiction?

Soch Fact Check reviewed the US president’s upcoming state visits and found that he is scheduled to visit the United Kingdom from 17 to 19 September 2025. According to a press release published on 14 July on the Royal.UK website, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King for a State Visit to the UK from 17 to 19 September.

His Majesty will host the President and First Lady at Windsor Castle. According to the BBC, all senior members of the Royal Family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, who reside on the castle grounds, are expected to be involved in the visit.

Soch Fact Check reviewed local and international news sources for any confirmation of a potential visit by Donald Trump to Pakistan. According to Reuters, Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan stated that he was “not aware of any possible visit” by the US president to Pakistan.

A spokesperson for the US Embassy in Islamabad told Reuters, “We have nothing to announce,” and suggested that the White House would be the appropriate source for any updates on the president’s schedule. Pakistan’s Information Ministry did not respond to Reuters’ request for comment.

Dunya News and GTV also reported this development, citing Reuters as the source.

Geo News subsequently issued an on-air apology, running tickers that read: “Geo News aired unconfirmed news regarding the US president’s visit on 18 September” and “The organisation apologises for providing unconfirmed news.”

Soch Fact Check also reviewed the official website of the White House but did not find any mention of an upcoming visit by President Donald Trump to Pakistan.
