On 15 October 2026, a Facebook page named Peshawar News shared a video of a man walking towards his car, surrounded by reporters with their cameras, when a bystander throws a white powder on him from behind. The caption reads:
“لندن میں پاکستانی سفیر پر پاؤڈر پھینکنے کا واقعہ!”

Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check first looked for credible news publications reporting on an attack on a Pakistani diplomat but couldn’t find anything. Taking our cue from the logo of a news channel visible on the top right corner, we found out that the video belongs to a French digital media channel named M6 Info.
To find out the complete context of the clip, we looked through the outlet’s YouTube channel and social media pages. They posted the video under investigation on 12 October across all their platforms with the following caption translated in English below:
“After his victory in the first round of the social-democratic primary on Sunday, Raphaël Glucksmann was the target of a flour throw while leaving a bar in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.”

Several news outlets like France 24 and Euro News also reported on the incident, detailing that a man pelted flour on Gucksmann when he was leaving a bar after celebrating his recent victory of becoming the centre-left candidate for France’s 2027 presidential elections.
We found no mention of a Pakistani diplomat being attacked in any news publications, and all those news reports sharing this clip specifically linked it to the assault on Gucksmann.

We first came across a viral post on Facebook with as many as 1,300 likes and 113 shares.
It garnered more reach after it received 1,200 and 933 likes via separate posts on the platform.
Conclusion: The clip of a man being pelted with flour on the street does not show a Pakistani diplomat but a French politician named Raphaël Glucksmann.
