Claim: A viral video shows Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s daughter dancing at a club.
Fact: This claim is false. The woman in question is an Indian model named Varsha Rao.
A Facebook user, Angel Muskan posted a reel of a woman wearing a red dress dancing at what appears to be a nightclub, with the caption claiming that it shows Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s daughter. The post garnered up to 2.1 K views.

Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check started the investigation by conducting a reverse image search of a keyframe from this reel. Upon this inspection, it was found that even though visual matches were found specifically posted by Indian accounts.
Furthermore, the reverse image of this screenshot search showed similar posts at least 3 years ago. When seen further, this video has been subjected to the same claim in 2023 on social media platforms, but was never fact checked.
However, this Indian model was found in an article by Geo Fact-check which debunked a similar claim on 6 September 2024 and concluded that the video originally shows an Indian model named Varsha Rao. At the time, a different video of the model was shared with the claim that it shows Asif’s daughter.
Noting the resemblance between the woman shown in the video in the claim and Rao, Soch Fact Check then searched the Indian model Varsha Rao’s official Instagram account. We found the exact video shared on Rao’s Instagram on 12 September 2023.
A screenshot of the original post, shown below, depicts the Indian model in the same setting and identical clothes, particularly the black coat and red dress. Hence, in a side-by-side comparison of the 2023 video, and the 2026 viral video reveals striking similarities, indicating that the footage is old and was posted by Varsha Rao, Indian model.

Hence, based on these findings, Soch Fact Check concludes that the video in the claim in fact shows an Indian model named Varsha Rao and not Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s daughter.
Virality
Soch Fact Check found the false claim circulating on multiple social media sites, especially on Facebook, X and Instagram. The video has generated a lot of interaction, as it has been posted in this unfortunate controversy for three years. Hence some reposts of this video on Instagram have under 500 likes, however, the same content on Facebook has more than 1K views per post.
Moreover, when the video was being investigated, it was noticeable that in 2023 and in 2026, Indian users were interacting with this scandal, giving it more attention.
Conclusion: The girl seen in the video is not Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s daughter, but Indian model Varsha Rao.
