Claim: A video shows an army officer questioning the suspension of meetings with Imran Khan at Adiala jail. He called it unjust and a sign of fear.
Fact: The video is likely AI-generated.
A video has been shared online containing the following text: “عمران خان سے ملاقاتیں بند کرنا انصاف نہیں، خوف کی علامت ہے۔”
[Translation: Stopping meetings with Imran Khan is not justice; it is a sign of fear.]
In the video, an officer says, “Yeh kaisa insaaf hai, jahan ghair mulk mein mulaqat mumkin hai. Magar apnay hi mulk mein Adiala jail ke darwazay band hain. Yeh sirf ek mulaqat ka masla nahi. Yeh humaray nizaam-e-insaaf par ek bara sawaal hai-”
[Translation: What kind of justice is this, where meetings are possible in a foreign country, but in one’s own country the doors of Adiala jail are closed? This is not just an issue of one meeting; it is a major question about our system of justice–]
Fact or Fiction?
The viral clip contains multiple visual inconsistencies, which suggest that it was likely generated using an AI text-to-video model. Soch Fact Check has previously debunked similar fabricated videos in which soldiers appeared to criticise the Pakistan Army or call for political action.
A prominent sign of the video likely being AI-generated is the static background. While the army officer speaks to the camera, the child seated behind him remains almost completely motionless. This lack of natural movement is a common indicator in AI-generated videos where background elements often fail to animate realistically.

Visual inconsistencies in the viral clip
Additionally, the officer’s skin appears glossy, and he does not display the subtle micro-expressions typically associated with human speech. When people talk, small changes occur in their facial muscles, such as cheek movement, eye tension, and lip coordination. However, AI models are unable to replicate these cues accurately, which results in a mismatch between speech and facial expressions.
A closer examination of the uniform further raises suspicion. The pocket on the left side of the screen does not contain a legible name or designation; instead, the text appears garbled and illegible. AI-generated content frequently struggles to render text correctly, particularly on clothing, badges, and signage.

Close-up of the pocket
Soch Fact Check attempted to trace the video’s origin using keyframes but did not find a source. The clip does not appear to originate from any real individual or official account, which further reinforces the conclusion that it is fabricated.
Virality
The video gained significant traction on Facebook receiving over 11,000 likes and 3,000 shares. It was shared here (archive).
Conclusion: The viral video showing an army officer questioning the suspension of meetings with Imran Khan in jail is likely AI-generated.
