Claim: A video shows a cyclist was fined for not wearing a helmet.
Fact: The video generated using AI.
A TikTok user posted a video on 12 December, claiming that a cyclist was fined for not wearing a helmet. As per some comments on the video, it is an AI-generated video. A description mentioned under the caption says the video “Contains AI-generated media”.
The same clip has also been shared on Instagram and YouTube without the AI label.
The video shows a conversation between the cyclist who was fined and a female police officer, during which the former can be seen arguing and questioning the traffic regulations around cycling. The officer responds to him saying the rules are the same for everyone, and that he was fined for not wearing a helmet and riding in the wrong lane.
The exact conversation is as follows:
سائیکل سوار: سائیکل کا کون سا چالان ہوتا ہے؟
افسر: قانون سب کے لیے برابر ہے۔
سائیکل سوار: باجی میں نے کیا ہی کیا تھا؟
افسر: ہیلمٹ نہیں تھا، لین بھی غلط تھی۔
سائیکل سوار: سائیکل والوں کے بھی ہیلمٹ کے قانون؟
افسر: اصول اصول ہوتے ہیں۔
Translation:
Cyclist: What kind of challan is issued to bicycle riders on cycles?
Officer: The law is the same for all.
Cyclist: Sister, where did I go wrong?
Officer: You did not have a helmet on and you were cycling in the wrong lane.
Cyclist: Helmet rules also apply to cyclists?
Officer: Rules and rules.
Fact or Fiction?
As the comments indicated the video is AI-generated.
The most damning indicator of this is that the shop signage in the background appears to be gibberish, a hallmark of AI-generated content. The same can be seen on the armpatch of the officer’s uniform.

Hive Moderation, an AI-detection tool, also shows the video is 98.7% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content.
