Claim: A video shows Field Marshal Asim Munir telling the soldiers that they are fighting US President Donald Trump’s and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s war.
Fact: The video is dubbed. In the original clip, he tells the police and the soldiers that they are fighting the state’s and Allah’s war.
On 22 December, an X user posted a video (archive) of Field Marshal Asim Munir apparently telling the soldiers that they are fighting US President Donald Trump’s war.
In the clip, he apparently reiterates the same, saying that soldiers and police standing beside him are fighting Trump and Netanyahu’s war.
He then points to a cleric standing in the crowd and apparently states:
“This [invective] cleric is standing there. Ask him. Trump has ordered it. Whoever fights Trump and Netanyahu and wants peace on earth is our enemy. And this [invective] cleric is here. And in the end, will be punished by Trump and by Netanyahu. Okay? This is Trump’s law. This is Netanyahu’s law. And since you are following Trump’s law, you are a soldier of Trump. No Islamic power can defeat you. Remember my words, okay.”
He then says that following Trump’s path is a financial opportunity, and no one could snatch the money away from them. “So, enter the field with the spirit of that dollar… And we are proud of our bastard police and our bastard judiciary.”
Fact or Fiction?
Analysing the clip indicated that the army chief’s original speech was likely dubbed. Munir’s voice is monotonous. The video also lacks natural background sounds, such as those of the people standing beside him.
Soch Fact Check then reverse-searched keyframes from the footage in the claim and found the original version of the army chief’s speech, in which he does not mention Trump or Netanyahu. For instance, on 12 April 2024, Murtaza Ali Shah, UK-based correspondent for Geo News, posted an extended version (archive) of the same clip on TikTok, with the following description: “Pakistan Army and the police are integral: Gen Asim Munir #pakistanarmy #coas #genasimmunir #police”.

On the left is the dubbed version; on the right is the original clip on TikTok.
In his original speech, Munir says that Law Enforcement Agencies are fighting for the state (Pakistan) and God. Following is his speech [translated from Urdu into English]:
“You are fighting a war for the state. Allah is with you people. Okay? Because you are fighting a war for Allah. He is not with him (the enemy/terrorists). Because Allah has ordered it. This Maulvi Sahib is standing here (points at him), he must know what this is.
(recites in Arabic)
You have done all these things. Allah Almighty has ordered that whoever fights against Allah and His Messenger and causes mischief on earth… should also know this.
(recites in Arabic)
In the end, this is the punishment in this world and he will get more in the hereafter. Okay. This is your law. This is the law of Allah. Since you are following the law of Allah, you are a soldier of Allah. No one in the world can defeat you. Remember what I said. Okay?
Yes sir
There are sacrifices in the way of Allah. No one can defeat you. So, enter the field with this spirit of faith. Okay? The entire Pak Army is with you at all times. Okay. And we are proud of our police and our law enforcement agencies.”
Moreover, the official YouTube channel of the Directorate General Public Relations, Government of Balochistan, “DGPR Balochistan Official”, also posted the same clip, in which Munir does not say anything about soldiers fighting Trump’s or Netanyahu’s war. This further confirmed that the video in the claim does not contain the original audio of Munir’s speech.
Further searches yielded news reports revealing that the footage of the army chief is from February 2023, when he visited a blast site in Peshawar nearly a year before the TikTok and YouTube clips were posted.
The Express Tribune published an article, titled “COAS visits Peshawar Police Lines, hails K-P police bravery”, on 3 February 2023. The cover photo in this report matches a keyframe from the video being fact-checked, as shown below:

The Express Tribune’s article from February 2023 carries a photo that matches the video in the claim.
On 30 January 2023, a suicide bomber targeted police officers at a mosque in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing nearly 100 people and injuring another 150. Munir visited the site of the explosion to meet officers and members of the KP police, and lauded the role of law enforcement agencies in their fight against terrorism.
Moreover, The Express Tribune’s report on Munir’s visit also features an X post by a user called “Pakistan Armed Forces News” from 3 February 2023. This post includes a video in which the scene at 0:09 matches a keyframe from footage being fact-checked. Its description states: “Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited #Peshawar Police Lines blast site today. #COAS met with Police Officers and men. COAS appreciated the bravery & contribution of KP police & LEAs in war against terrorism.”
PTV News also posted about the same visit on Facebook on 3 February 2023.
The News also reported on Munir’s visit to the blast site on 3 February 2023.
Soch Fact Check, therefore, rates the claim as false.
Virality
The clip that was shared in December 2025 garnered 66,600 views and was liked at least 1,300 times.
It also appeared on X in October 2025 here, here, here and here.
Conclusion: The video originally does not show Field Marshal Asim Munir telling soldiers that they are fighting US President Donald Trump’s and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s war. The clip is dubbed; in the original speech, Munir states that law enforcement agencies are fighting the state and Allah’s war.
