Background

The Pakistani premier made his most recent announcement regarding the disbursement of financial assistance under the BISP program on 10 November.

According to Dawn, PM Shehbaz announced that BISP payments would go digital from Ramzan 2026. There are no reliable news reports that support the claim being fact-checked in this article

BISP was launched by the Pakistani government in July 2008. According to the official website, the programme was started with the purpose of alleviating adverse effects of slow economic growth.

Fact or Fiction?

Soch Fact Check found that the video contains clips of two ARY News casters, and the audio playing in the background is dubbed. This means the original audio has been replaced with the one that can be heard in the video, which is why it does not synchronise with their lip movements.

The Facebook page who posted this clip has also uploaded several similar video clips with different news casters and the exact same audio as in the video being fact-checked.

Moreover, visiting the website, i.e.auzmuz.com that the audio mentions, lead to the page shown in the video, however, clicking on the part suggested by the correspondent downloaded a PDF converter to the device. No application link opened following the steps given in the video.

Virality

A video with the same claim in the audio but showing different news casters has been shared here on Facebook.

Conclusion: The audio in the video clip was dubbed. The website mentioned in the audio does not allow one to sign up for the BISP program.
