Claim: A video shows Pakistan Army soldiers under attack by ‘Baloch and Pashtun fighters’ in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in November 2025.
Fact: The clip is old and has been online since at least December 2023.
On 17 November, an X user that Soch Fact Check has fact-checked several times in the past, posted a video (archive) purportedly showing Pakistan Army soldiers under attack by banned militant and terror groups in November 2025. The description of the post claims: “Between Nov 10–16, Baloch and Pashtun fighters carried out 22 attacks across Occupied Balochistan & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing 56 Pakistani soldiers and injuring dozens. Pakistan Army admits only 19 deaths, the rest buried in silence to protect Asim Munir’s false glory.”
In recent years, Pakistan has seen increased terror attacks by the banned militant and terror groups Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Tehreek-e–Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The article only fact-checks whether the video is recent.
Fact or Fiction?
Soch Fact Check reverse-searched keyframes from the video and found that it is old.
An X user posted an extended version of the same video (archive) on 29 December 2023 with the description that reads: “The recent operation of the BLA, Baloch fighters managed to capture the base of the Pakistani army later the Balochistan flag was hoisted on the Pak army post. Visual release by BLA.” The scenes in this clip match the video being fact-checked as shown below:

Left: Post sharing the claim in November 2025. Right: Extended version of the same video from December 2023.
Another X user also shared the extended version of the same footage here (archive) on 30 December 2023.
The same clip was also shared on X here on 19 December 2023, confirming the video is not from November 2025.
All the videos above also feature the “Hakkal” logo, the media wing of the banned group BLA, in the top-right corner, suggesting this outfit likely released it.
Although all the posts above link the footage to the BLA and also have a “Hakkal” logo, the fact that it appeared as early as December 2023 proves it is not recent.
Soch Fact Check therefore rates the claim false.
Virality
The post on X was viewed 11,100 times and liked 401 times. The same X user also posted the video here.
It was also shared on X here, here.
On Facebook here, here and here.
Conclusion: Posts claiming that a video shows Pakistan Army soldiers getting attacked in November 2025 are false as this clip has appeared online as early as December 2023.
